QuickBase templates are
ready-made applications that
you can start to use
immediately. They address a
variety of scenarios and can
help those looking for assistance with project
management, sales, IT issue
tracking, legal billing,
document management and
more. To see the full list of
Templates, go to your My QuickBase screen and start the application
creation process (click the Add a New App button). QuickBase displays
the Templates tab of the Add
a New QuickBase Application
page. Who creates templates? QuickBase gives you access to
a wide variety of templates;
some are developed in house,
by the Intuit QuickBase team.
Others are developed by the
community of QuickBase users. When you browse
categories or search for
templates, QuickBase lets you
see all of the templates
available, regardless of author.
A small icon appears next to each template name, letting
you know which are
authored by Intuit QuickBase
and which were submitted by
the user community. You can sort the list of
templates so that the Intuit-
Developed templates appear
first. In the Sort drop down,
choose Templates by QuickBase . All templates developed by the Intuit
QuickBase team appear first in
the list. Sample Data All templates developed by
Intuit QuickBase come
complete with sample data so
you'll understand exactly
what kind of information
goes where, and how the application is meant to work.
Once you've had a look
around and are ready to enter
your own data, QuickBase lets
you delete the sample data. If
you have already started adding some of your own
records, don't worry.
QuickBase will NOT delete any
records that you have
modified or added since
creating your application. How to find the right
template QuickBase provides a number
of different ways for you to
find just the right template
for your business need. You
can: Search for templates--Use the
search box to look for
templates across all categories.
QuickBase searches the
template name and
description, and even the category name and returns all
templates that match your
search string. Browse to see: Templates by category--You
can see a list of business
functions on the left of the
Templates tab. Click any of
these categories and you'll see
a list templates that fit the category. (The number in
parentheses after the
category name indicates how
many templates the category
contains.) Featured templates--The Intuit
QuickBase team selects a
number of templates to
feature at different times.
Featured templates may be
brand new templates designed to solve a new
business problem, or they
may be templates we want to
bring to the attention of the
user base. Featured templates
will change on occasion, so be sure to check back regularly
to see what's new. Templates by Intuit
QuickBase--If you want to
focus only on templates
developed by our internal
team, you can
Choose
Templates by Intuit QuickBase to see a list of only these
templates.
Sorting template lists Once you've narrowed the list
of templates to those that
match what you're looking
for, you can sort the list to get
a better understanding of the
templates available to you. You can sort the list by
author, name, date of the last
update, and popularity.
